    Northwest Florida Beaches International Airport

    The new airport has a new name and is scheduled to open in May 2010! Southwest Airlines announced they will be flying into the new PFN and other airlines are being courted.

    Here's the link to Southwest's Press Release announcing the new routes and fares for the new airport, beginning May 23, 2010:

    they announced today that the day they open there will be flights to and from Houston, TX, Nashville, Baltimore, and Orlando.

    That's great! I wouldn't have guessed Orlando, but I'm sure they chose it and the others cos they can fill the seats. This seems to be a great start to SW in PCB...........

    Service begins May 23rd so all you folks visitng this summer should have cheaper, direct options! Start making plans...

    Orlando gives families who want to go to Disney and the beach an option to PCB instead of the East coast. That's a big plus for PCB.
