Still serving local seafood and plenty of it. Prices haven't changed noticably.

There are still fishing waters open east of us and that's where a lot of local seafood comes from anyway (Apalachicola area)

You'll be fine the week of June 26, plenty of seafood to eat!

I'll see if we can get some answers from some of our restaurant owners as to what they expect to happen to the local seafood supply and prices.

Glad to help. As a matter of fact, we enjoyed some great seafood at Lime's at Bay Point yesterday.. and I hope to enjoy some more local seafood this weekend for Father's Day.

What are your favorite seafood restaurants in PCB?

Setting the Record Straight About Florida Seafood - It's Safe … It’s Plentiful … It’s Available:
Florida Seafood vs. the Oil Spill

Also, we have heard that currently seafood supplier prices are up slightly, but most restaurants are just absorbing the minimal increases rather than passing it to the consumers.

And, we've heard from recreational anglers that they are catching much more fish than average and reaching their limits quicker... possibly due to the oil spill pushing much of the fish our way.

Oh, and Treasure Ship is definitely repairing and reopening... not sure when... but, we'll try and find out.

Try Capt. Anderson's, Capt's Table and Boondocks for more fresh local seafood.

Coming down week of July 18th, how's the seafood doing at this point? How is the oyster production?

Oyster harvesting is down. Many of the oystermen are working for BP now. Some of the restaurants have even taken oysters off the menu cos they're becoming increasingly difficult to buy.

We did have some great oysters last week at Capt's Table. Also had some the week before at Gandy's Oyster Bar in town. And I'm sure there are still plenty of restaurants still serving - but you might want to call ahead if you really want oysters.
