The Red Bar - Grayton Beach

Ok..atmosphere 2 thumbs up...dinner was awful! First ordered the chicken breasts with garlic mashed potatoes and chopped spinach salad. Chicken was tough and couldn't even chew it! Sent it back and got the stuffed manicotti...but the chef must have stuffed it with the cheapest cheese there was, it was also tough to eat, not much taste in the dinner. No salad, etc with it.
Fun place to go for a drink, but not for the food!!

I typically don't eat at bars because of this. Glad you told others. The Red Bar looks good on paper but, I'm gonna bring some people down from FL here and I def. won't take them there. I'm looking at Harbor Docks, County Line Pizza and others.

(bars that serve wings are another exception to this rule)

I feel like were not in Fl but in the Alabama Panhandle!

I forgot to say that their menu is written on a chalkboard with only about 5-6 dinner selections. Like I said, it's a very cool place to see with all the memorabilia on the walls and the music, but forget the food. My daughter's drink -mojita - was not even good!!
Love the area and the little town area, but food 2 thumbs down.

It's been a few years since I've been to Red Bar for dinner, but I thought I remembered them having pretty good food. They've always had the limited menu on the chalkboard... maybe there have been some changes in the kitchen or something? Too bad your food was subpar.

Thanks for the report nanindy! Grayton Beach is a fun excursion for anyone visiting Destin or Panama City Beach. Beautiful community. All of 30-A is beautiful.

We'll be going in a few weeks...I will check out the new place too. The food at Red Bar - got some pasta and it was bland and sticky. We exchanged the food item because it was so bad, but the 2nd item wasn't much better. Maybe a bad night...but I do love the atmosphere and music!! Let me know about the new cafe!
