In Myrtle Beach, Christmas comes a little ahead of schedule. Santa Claus arrives on Thursday, the eighth of November, at nine o'clock in the morning, just in time for The 31st Annual Dickens Show and Festivals.
For the 31st year in succession, the Myrtle Beach Convention Center will be transformed into a 19th Century London market, complete with Victorian street urchins, 350 hawkers in period costume, a "Punch and Judy" show, meandering choral groups, fifty Christmas trees, and too much more to mention in one breath.
From Scotland's highlands and lowlands, it's pipes & drums, song & dance, fiddles, harp & guitar...and bringing it all together is the Panama City Highland Games. You'll enjoy fine performers, delicious Scottish food, highland athletics, Scottish dancers, clan tents, and historical exhibits as the spirit of the highlands comes to town!

What started as a weekend gathering of local artists has grown into a nationally recognized art show. The 18th Annual Pigeon Key Art Festival is set for Saturday and Sunday, Feb. 11-12, 2012 in the Marathon Community Park MM 49 and will run from 10am to 5pm both days. The festival is among the top shows in the U.S. The art festival is a juried show with over 85 locally and nationally selected fine artists and craftsmen in nine different categories..
Fine art aficionados can discover the work of approximately 100 artists in a balmy open-air setting during the Annual Old Island Days Art Festival.
The critically acclaimed show takes place in the island city's historic Old Town district. Colorful booths are to stretch along lower Whitehead Street and into the gracious Truman Annex, adjacent to 19th-century homes and museums showcasing the island city's past.
Watch enthusiastic contestants, from children to seniors, pucker up and demonstrate their shell-blowing talents. Sometimes called the “Conch Honk,” there is no cost to enter or to compete, and no experience is necessary. Conch shells are available for purchase for those who do not have their own. Contestants are encouraged to register for the event at the Oldest House from 11:30 to 1:00 pm on or before the day of the event.
