Celebrate Georgia's rich Irish heritage for an entire week at Atlanta's Irish Festival and 127th annual St. Patrick's Day Parade! The parade begins at 12 noon on March 15, 2008 starting at Peachtree Street and Ralph McGill and proceeds past Woodruff Park. The parade then moves into Underground Atlanta where the celebration continues with live entertainment. The 2008 Atlanta St. Patrick's Day Parade will host over 200 parade units which include floats, marching bands, Irish dancers, Bagpipe and Drum Corps, antique cars, and much more!

The St. Patrick's Day Festival is a four-day event, March 14 - 17, 2008 that encompasses various celebrations of Irish heritage and culture. Live Irish entertainment will be showcased throughout the event along with an Irish vendor's market, Irish Breakfast, Greening of the Fountains Ceremony, family activities and of course, green everywhere.
"The growth that we have seen with this festival has been tremendous" comments Underground Atlanta General Manager William P. Chick Ciccaglione. "We want to invite Atlantans and visitors alike to put on their green and come celebrate with us."
Whether you're Irish or just wish you were, "craic" (an Irish word for fun) will be had by all. Come indulge yourself in this festive celebration while taking advantage of the wonderful retail shops and specialty carts, along with an assortment of restaurants and dining options, including Irish Bred and Pub. It will be a night of celebration in Kenny's Alley, the only entertainment district in the city where drinks are poured until 4am * and patrons can stroll from club to club with drinks in hand.
