The 32nd Annual Atlanta Film Festival, the South's premier experience for movie lovers, independent film fans and filmmakers, will take place April 16-25, 2009 in Downtown and Midtown Atlanta. Presented by Turner Broadcasting, the nine-day film festival will feature over 150 films from around the world, nightly parties, awards ceremonies and provocative panel discussions. With a national reputation for its consistently strong and unique programming, enthusiastic audiences and exceptional hospitality, this is a film festival you cannot afford to miss.

The Atlanta Film Festival will feature narrative films, documentaries, foreign films, animation, short films, student films, films produced by local Atlanta talent and teen-produced films as part of our Teen Screen program. The festival will include guest appearances by filmmakers, video artists and industry representatives from around the world. The event also features an Academy Award qualifying narrative shorts competition.
FILM FESTIVAL VENUES
This year's film festival venues include: Rialto Center for the Performing Arts, Landmark Midtown Art Cinema, Cinefest at Georgia State University, The Speaker's Auditorium at Georgia State University, Woodruff Arts Center-Rich Theater, Lefont Garden Hills and the Center for Puppetry Arts. Opening and Closing Nights will be held at the Rialto.
