Art aficionados, shoppers and tourists alike will not want to miss their chance to view and purchase an array of unique and soulful African American art beginning July 13-22, 2007 at this year’s Annual Heritage Arts Festival presented by Underground Atlanta. It will offer a mesmerizing collection of creative visual and performance arts as patrons stroll through both venues along the historic streets of Underground Atlanta experiencing a plethora of both live entertainment as well as drawings, prints, paintings, sculptures, photography, ceramics and crafts. The Heritage Arts Festival also provides the perfect opportunity to mix and mingle with both emerging and legendary artists from throughout the African Diaspora.

"Past festival have featured some exciting elements that reflect our expression of faith perseverance. This is a wonderful way to reflect on, as well as celebrate, the history and legacy of the African American experience through the arts.” Some of the artists that have participated in the festival include Gilbert Young, Charles Bibbs, Sidney Carter, Margaret Warfield, Kelvin Henderson and more.

As well as nationally recognized violinist Ken Ford, the all-female African dance and drumming ensemble Giwayen Mata, and Fung Africa, The Milkshake Jazz Quartet, the Steve Stickland Gospel Band and many others! This year's festival will feature a spectacular collection of fine arts and on-site demonstrations from world-renowned artists. Live entertainment will include jazz, gospel, R&B and blues. The outdoor vendor market will house national and international merchants exhibiting jewelry, clothing, health & beauty products, African Artifacts, art and a host of other products.
