Visit Scandinavia without leaving the U.S. during the 14th annual Scandinavian Festival Atlanta which takes place Saturday, October 11, 2008, on the campus of Oglethorpe University. Nine Georgia Scandinavian clubs participate in organizing this fun, family-friendly event which showcases the best of the five Nordic countries--Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway and Sweden.

The main objective of the Festival is the promotion, appreciation and understanding of Scandinavia. There will be cultural exhibits featuring the five participating countries, musical and dance performances, storytelling and many other activities. A variety of Scandinavian culinary treats will entice visitors of all ages.

Learn about land of Vikings, home of Santa Claus and more about all five Scandinavian countries: Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway and Sweden. Festivities will include live music, folk dance, storytelling and children“s activities.
