For select dates leading up to Halloween, Six Flags over Atlanta transforms its family park into a frightful experience unlike any other.
The entire theme park is decorated with witches, cobwebs, and images of the darker world; the ride attendants are decked in costumes of ghosts and goblins; and well the rides…they need nothing done to them to make them any scarier that they already are. Fright Fest is a wildly popular Atlanta event that's ALWAYS packed! If you're planning on going, you'd better get an early start on things.
And if you've got kids, you might as well start making those plans now!
Fright Fest has turned into such an Atlanta tradition that the crowds waiting to enter the park have gotten as long as any you'll see in summer. But once inside it's a whole different Six Flags than the summer tourist see...
So pick a costume fit to scare or entertain, head over to Six Flags, and get prepared to scream!

Six Flags is selling tickets for half price these days to try to get people in the doors because the economy sucks or haven't you noticed? There are less people in the parks and the ones there are paying less than they used to pay. Hence Six Flags can't afford enough actors for walking around.

I'm from georgia and have been here all my life and have been going to six flags fright fest since I was 6 years old and over the yars I 've seen the change in this event.It has went down hill more and more over the last 4/5 years...but this year is the worst.I went on Sat Oct.11 and I was there all day..never seen not 1 zombie walking around,none of the decorations were up,not like the years in the past.The Fright Fest shows were not as long as they used to be,and frankly the one they have put on for the last 3 years in the Crystal Pistol totally sucks.I fell asleep this year in the one they have.I thought after doing research on this and reading comments and reviews on this event and reading all the complaints that six flags would read them and pay attention to them and step their game up for this event this year since it's been such a disappointment over the years.I would really like to know what has happened to cause all of this.There were Cobb County cops everywhere all day long in the park also.I mean did something happen that I didn't hear about thats caused all the changes for Frigh Fest?I mean it has sucked over the last 4/5 years but at least it was still decorated and looked cool through out the park and they didn't even do that this year,we all know they have plenty of money to do a whole lot more.Love to know answers....I was very disappointed!!!!!!

well i dont kno if you knew about this, but a young boy or young man had his head got dis membered for his body while reaching for his hat under a ride. maybe this park lost alot of money due to a lawsuit that may have decresed there funds. hell i dont kno..im just guessing. but still, your right, they still shouldnt get lazy on the decoration. thanks for letting me kno tho. so now i wont invest my money into fright fest.
