Atlanta, GA -
Only those who will risk going too far can possibly find out how far one can go! In Atlanta, the possibilities are endless and whether it’s early in the morning…or deep into the night…Atlanta charms with food, architecture and lush botanical grandeur only found in the south…and music that stirs the soul! It’s one of the most romantic cities in the country if you tune into the right channel and slip into the groove…with or without your better half as they say…Atlanta is filled with romance!

How Far Will You Go…For Romance?

Is Church a “good” place to go… romance always flourishes in church? This beautifully renovated church turned restaurant offers one of Atlanta's most unique dining experiences.

What could be more romantic than being surrounded by gorgeous, fragrant flowers? The Atlanta Botanical Garden is a perfect place for an evening stroll…special events are often held throughout the year, including live jazz music…make an entire night of it, or stop by before heading out to an even more romantic dinner.

Callaway Gardens offer romantic surroundings and luxurious accommodations. There are nature trails, bike trails, specialty gardens, and a beach area if you’re interested in feeling the HOT southern sun on your back? If you really want to get away from it all, Lake Lanier is just far enough to feel that you have left the city, but close enough for a perfect romantic weekend…with cocktail evening cruises, massages and other pampering activities at the spa, and gorgeous “romantic” views from the resort's main restaurant.

In the center of Midtown, Piedmont Park, known as "Atlanta's green heart", is the perfect place for a leisurely stroll with that special someone, and for a romantic picnic, especially during the summertime when the late evening temperature cools just enough to be comfortable but stays HOT enough for romance! Events such as the Atlanta Jazz Festival, and Screen on the Green, offer more opportunities for a romantic date.

There’s nothing more romantic than watching the entire Atlanta Skyline as you dine…and gently revolve at the Sun Dial Restaurant on top of Atlanta’s Westin Peachtree Plaza. The dining room actually revolves a full 360 degrees every hour and the restaurant itself offers a classy ambience, and an upscale, newly revamped menu. Reserve a suite at the hotel and make the night complete…very complete!

Nikolai’s Roof is another excellent restaurant perched high above it all on the Downtown Atlanta Hilton. It’s the ultimate in elegant dining and not only offers a wonderful view of the city, but the best Russian inspired cuisine in Atlanta! For your dining pleasure, Nikolai also provides the most professional servers, and a sommelier to help navigate the restaurant's extensive wine list.

Romance doesn’t have to be expensive… wine and dine your sweetheart at Apres Diem. The locals love it and the place oozes romance without stuffiness. From candlelit tables to the warm, inviting lounge, you can enjoy a very intimate time at Apres Diem for very little money…and the bistro style menu is well executed with amazing desserts. It's a great place for first dates.

Is Church a “good” place to go… romance always flourishes in church? This beautifully renovated church turned restaurant offers one of Atlanta's most unique dining experiences. From the servers in traditional Medieval garb to the excellent continental menu, to the extensive wine list, The Abbey aims to impress and it succeeds.

If the evening still calls for a touch of the “high life,” Atlanta's dance clubs are full of beautiful people and “high” energy. These clubs may be quite different but rest assured that they are some of the most popular dance clubs in Atlanta, where booty shaking is 'da bomb…and it may be necessary to shake off a little of the evening’s excess?

You must dress to impress, if you want immediate entry into Eleven50’s multilevel dance floor. There’s plenty of room to watch the beautiful people groove to the beats of superb live DJ's and it’s easy to see why this club has quickly become one of the hottes Atlanta clubs.

Vision on the other hand has taken a minimalist approach to ambience so that the crowd, including frequent visits by the hip-hop elite, can see and be seen. The club was recently given a makeover and created quite a bit of BUZZ when it was unveiled in late April 2005.

Tongue and Groove in Buckhead is an institution for all the right reasons…for decades it has drawn celebrities like a magnet with its high-energy personality, but has managed to keep things fresh, and still draws a healthy crowd. It’s the veteran on the list and demands your attention!

Compound is much newer and offers several different themed areas to match whatever your clubbing style may be. Located in the evolving West Midtown warehouse district, Compound debuted in 2004, breathing new life into Atlanta's club scene…and the scene is now full throttle in Midtown! It’s all happening in Midtown from the very trendy restaurant and club scene at Shout in Colony Square to Halo at 6th Street inside Midtown’s Historic Biltmore!

This is only a taste of all there is to do in Atlanta when it comes to romance, fine dining and a little “shake your booty” clubbing like the boys and girls in the South do it…or should I say men and women? Plus, I haven’t even touched on the fabulous GAY scene and then it gets even more confusing! Let’s just say we’re all “one human family” who embrace everyone’s diversity…whether you like to shake your booty or not! Atlanta is a fine place for romance…and no one can deny it! End of Article
