The Hyatt Regency Atlanta became famous when it opened in 1967 as the world's first atrium hotel, boasting a revolutionary 22-story atrium and marble lobby designed by renowned Atlanta architecture John Portman. The hotel towered above and illuminated the Atlanta skyline, at one time claiming "tallest building" status in Atlanta. This fall, Piedmont Park will welcome the debut of the Atlanta Arts Festival. Set to take place September 12-23, the Atlanta Arts Festival is a professionally juried, fine arts exhibition dedicated to filling the void of a fall time arts Festival in the city of Atlanta.

Green Acres comes to Atlanta in this one-day event that entertains and informs the public about nature and farming.
Similar to the Gulf Coast's Goat Day celebration, the Atlanta History Center hosts an afternoon full of farm activities entitled Sheep to Shawl Day…and as the name implies, the honorary guest is our gentle friend the sheep.
