The Stage is set for the 3rd Annual 30A Songwriters Festival – and what an incredible stage it is! If you are a music lover, then you will not want to miss this event. This is your chance to get up close to songwriters, hear their tales behind the music they’ve written and listen to songs you know and love and also be introduced to new, up and coming songwriters sharing their talents and music with you.
Every New Years Eve, millions of people from all over the world watch the ball drop from Times Square in New York City, now we have our own Ball Drop right here in the South, where the weather is much more pleasant!
Destin Harbor will host the 4th Annual Ball Drop Bash this NYE with lots of fun filled celebrating leading up to the drop. There will be live entertainment and lots of fun filled activities.There will also be a choreographed fireworks display above the harbor at midnight.

I've only lived in Destin for a short time; so everyday I learn something or have a new and sometimes unexpected experience. Destin is certainly one of the "jewels" on the Emerald Coast...and if you didn't know, it's pretty much centered on the coast as if it were a diamond on a wedding ring with Panama City to the right and Pensacola to the left. All of 30-A- Seaside, Rosemary Beach, Watercolor and so on are also just a hop, skip and a beautiful jump away. When you live or visit Destin, it's not only about the destination...the journey itself can be pretty spectacular. Talk about location, location, location!
One would think if you receive an invitation to go to Crab Island for the day, you are going to be visiting an island. But a Crab Island adventure is like no other. Most likely you are going to board a boat in the Destin Harbor. On your way to the mouth of the harbor, you will pass families, couples and groups of people who have managed to make their way to Norriego Point by boat or shuttle. They are just hanging out having a good time... eating, partying, walking the beaches or playing in the water. Dogs are a familiar sight...
