Okay, so I'm a newby to the area. I've never attended the Destin Seafood Festival. So, what do I know? Well, as far as I'm concerned you can't go wrong. Whenever you take a harbor lined with restaurants and booths selling fresh caught local seafood... add 15 music stages... add 15 Nashville songwriters... add entertainment for the kids and lots of arts and crafts vendors... then couple all of this with potentially the best weather you can have during the entire year in Destin... YOU are going to have a wonderful, fun-packed day.

For all of you folks who live out of town, mark this date on the calendar because The Destin Seafood Festival is going to be worth the trip!

This year the festival is anticipating more than 30,000 locals and visitors. So maybe you'll run into old friends; or if you're like me, make new ones!

Oh, and remember the Destin Fishing Rodeo kicks off on October 1st with official weigh-ins taking place right in the midst of the festival.

So come to the 33rd Annual Destin Seafood Festival and celebrate the Destin fishing heritage, the fishermen, their catch and the beautiful Destin Harbor. Have some fun... You can't go wrong!
