Key West, FL -
Held in conjunction with the Hemingway Days Festival, this annual fishing tournament draws anglers from all over the world. With a purse of nearly a quarter of a million dollars, you can imagine the excitement surrounding the event!

Hemingway was an avid big fish sportsman. During his ten years in the Keys, he was a familiar face in fishing circles. And now the town holds this catch and release style contest every year to honor Hemingway's contribution to Key West's fishing fame. And as with everything in the Keys, there will be plenty of activities for all ages.
Winning blue marlins have weighed in as much as 350 pounds or more and a lot of weight can translate into a lot of cash! Coinciding as it does with the Hemingway Days Festival, the Drambuie Key West Marlin Tournament is evolving into one of the most looked-forward to events in fishing circles…and there aren't many tournaments that carry such a close association with one of America's most recognized sport fishermen, Ernest Hemingway.
