Now is the time for all good men (and women) to come to the aid of their country…and bar.
Schooner Wharf Bar has prepared yet another strategic battle plan for this year’s Battle of the Bars. The plan of attack calls for troops to muster at noon on Sunday, August 2nd for pre-battle games during registration. The battle begins promptly at 1 p.m., so get your teams ready for war.
For those who have never participated before, or for the bar employees who can’t remember any previous battles, the relay race involves of mixing a margarita, running through an obstacle course with the drink, recycling, tapping a keg of beer, pouring it, serving it and drinking it, and more.
Can we count on your generous support for this worthwhile fund-raiser? More importantly, can a good cause count on you to drink for them? All proceeds will benefit
children and adults in our community.
The entry fee of $35.00 ($5.00 per team member) and all “bribes” will be donated to the Boys and Girls Club. All participants will receive a free Battle of the Bars T-Shirt (compliments of Eagle Brands/Michelob Ultra). Sign Up Before July 23rd and your team's name will be printed on the T-shirt.
Trophies and bragging rights will be awarded to 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place. Does your staff have the right stuff, or will you be dishonorably discharged from the William Street battle site?
There will also be prizes for the Most Outrageous Team uniform.
Everyone’s done a terrific job in the past and with your help $166,653 has been raised so far -- something to be immensely proud of!!!
Last year, your generosity, helpfulness and willingness to get drunk on Sunday, raised a record $27,653.
