Key West, FL -
Join the ranks of Ernest Hemingway, Zane Grey and former President George Bush, and fish the fabulous Florida Keys.

If you're new to fishing in the Keys, then you'll want to hire an expert, and there are many choices.
If you're new to fishing in the Keys, then you'll want to hire an expert, and there are many choices. A party boat can accommodate 16-50 people and is perfect for a family outing. For a more private fishing experience, consider a one-on-one guided tour that can include fishing the backcountry, the flats or wreck and reef fishing. Take an exciting popular deep sea fishing excursion and hook a 'fighting' fish such as a marlin or a sailfish. The best part of fishing on a charter boat is that you don't have to worry about a license, bait or even fishing tackle.
There are also many choices to fit any budget and any request: full day, 1/2 day, nighttime fishing, and even 2-3 day overnight trips that usually include a trip to the Dry Tortugas, situated 70 miles from Key West and featuring some of the most beautiful and strictly protected waters in the Keys.
As you drive down US 1, you'll also see people fishing from the bridges and, yes, that's allowed too, but you'll need a fishing license that can be obtained along with informational pamphlets on fishing regulations from any marina or tackle shop.
Once you return from a day of fishing, just leave the fish with your guides and mates or you can visit any one of our many great restaurants that will cook your catch to perfection! Even Hemingway couldn't ask for more.
For information on a charter, inquire at any marina, bait and tackle shop and check online at tripsmarter.com. Or, contact one of our favorite captains... Capt. Marlin Scott at fishmonster.com.
Here's to tight lines and bent rods on your next trip to the Keys!

Spring is Perfect For Fishing - Submitted by Anonymous on Thu, 04/16/2009 - 17:50.
Just came back from a day of bonefishing in the waters north of Key West. Beautiful emerald flats with crystal clear water held small schools of bonefish. In the deeper nearby channels, tarpon are just starting their annual migration.
Found a long-time fishing guide at keyskayakfishing.com - they have a fleet of charters available.
Bring plenty of sunscreen and don't forget POLARIZED sunglasses. Those bonefish are hard enough to see.
Unfortunately, we didn't hook up any of the bones. But having a shot at them in that scenic part of the Keys was just as memorable.
Tight lines (next time)!!
