Blame Canada! - Can-Am Days in Myrtle Beach

The fun kicks off on March 8th and rocks all month long - with so many events, sponsors, and discounts, you’ll be hard pressed not to participate.

The fun kicks off on March 8th and rocks all month long - with so many events, sponsors, and discounts, you’ll be hard pressed not to participate. If the jitterbug bites check out Studebaker's where you can enter into one of the many National Shag Dance competitions. And, of course, for the not so brave, you can always grab a chair and a cherry coke and enjoy the dancers bustin’ a move. Kids of all ages can enjoy the Huntington Beach State Park with various events such as a Kite fest, Can-Am Little Olympics, Taste of Murrell’s Inlet and various state sponsored nature learning activities.

Can-Am days are musical in nature featuring every kind imaginable—from the United States Air Force sportin’ a Blue Jazz ensemble to famous performers singing their hits. Early in the week Anne Murray takes the stage at the Alabama Theatre and belts out, “Day Dream Believer” and “What A Wonderful World.” Tom Jones follows later in the week bringing his legendary tight britches and billowy shirts to rock Myrtle Beach. Fans young and old can relish in experiencing hits such as “What’s New Pussycat?,” I’ll Never Fall In Love Again,” and “She’s A Lady.”

And, don’t forget about the St. Patrick’s Day Festival celebration! Beginning with a parade and festival in North Myrtle Beach and going out with fireworks at Broadway at the Beach - there’s fun and activities to fill an entire day! Of course at night the party is always happenin’ in Celebrity Square and with six clubs celebrating Canadian, American, and Irish culture you know this weekend is no exception. Enjoy the music, atmosphere and tasty adult beverages for there’s always something to do at Broadway.

As you can see there is something for everyone, for all ages, and from any country! End of Article
