Termed the "Everyman Open" by Golf Digest, this four-day links extravaganza invites golfers of all skills and abilities to come out and compete. The tournament is so big it has to be held at several of the area's top courses. In fact, the field is so large that use is made of over 70 local courses.
Myrtle Beach is no longer the location for two long-running motorcycle events.
The Harley-Davidson Dealers Association Spring Rally and the Atlantic Beach Memorial Day Bikefest will no longer be held in Myrtle Beach.

In 1969, 16 artists and crafts people organized and formed the Waccamaw Arts & Crafts Guild. It's a non-profit, state-chartered organization that aims to encourage and promote fine arts in the Myrtle Beach community.
The membership is open to professional, non-professional and student artists and crafts persons as well as associate members interested in the arts. The "Art in the Park" shows are held in Chapin Park each year giving artists of all mediums an opportunity to display and sell their work. Chapin Park is right in the Heart of Myrtle Beach around 15th Avenue and Hwy 17 Business.
The Toys for Tots Program began in 1947 and has put a smile on millions of children's faces over the years. This year, several locations throughout Myrtle Beach, SC will be helping to collect as many toys as possible.
