New Orleans, LA -
Spending Halloween weekend in New Orleans has to be the coolest thing you could do for this frightful holiday! Where else in America has the same spooky atmosphere, the same haunting history, the same... nightlife?
Nowhere, of course! And this Halloween weekend it gets even better... the Voodoo Music Experience is returning with an all-day music festival on October 30 - November 1, 2009. Three giant main stages play host to some of the biggest names in music - past years have seen Eminem, Tool, Bush, Snoop Dogg, G. Love & Special Sauce, Rage Against the Machine, Smashing Pumpkins, and Better Than Ezra on the main stages.
Just like New Orleans, the Voodoo Music Experience is a gumbo of influences (couldn't resist the pun!) and musical genres that will satisfy all tastes.
Join the estimated 70,000 fans who will converge on New Orleans for this unbelievable musical festival... it's set in two huge fields and will host dozens and dozens of cool vendors. We're talking Voodoo rituals, DJ's, and Voodoo After Dark, when the bands continue playing in clubs around town.
The Voodoo Music Experience will be held in City Park, northwest of the French Quarter.
This year's lineup includes KISS, Jane's Addiction, Widespread Panic, Eminem, Flaming Lips and many more! As always, more acts will be added to the lineup as we get closer to Halloween Weekend... so check back often!
In the meantime, why not talk about the Voodoo Music Experience in our New Orleans Travel Forums?
