The lobby changes with the season through a "Ritual" of transforming their environment seven times a year. Coming up is All Saints Day and All Souls Day. That's when New Orleanians celebrate the lives of loved ones past, by whitewashing tombs and adorning them with yellow chrysanthemums, red coxcombs and immortelles. Not far from the glow of candles that can be seen along Cemetery landscapes throughout the city, is The International House, which seamlessly embraces this tradition for its guests.

This article is too short to extol the radiance of the Christmas season when the lobby is illuminated with gas lanterns, designed by third generation New Orleans lantern maker Drew Bevolo, and holly branches embleshing hand-blown wall sconces made by New Orleans acclaimed glass blower Mitchell Gaudet--but hopefully you catch my drift... so now saunter along to experience your guest room. Generous in size and both luxurious and pristine, designer LM Pagano styled the rooms with the perfect combination of texture, light, and space for the ultimate experience in comfort and intimacy.

After your day on the town and just before you dine, be sure to save time to experience a seasonal cocktail, or two, in Loa's candle drenched cocktail lounge. You don't have to go far to experience the Spanish and French culinary roots of New Orleans cuisine-- Simply carry your cocktail over to the Rambla Restaurant and keep the momentum going!
