Santa Rosa Beach, FL -
What do you call a weekend combined with samplings from up to 200 worldwide wines, culinary creations from local renowned chefs such as Tim Creehan, and friends and neighbors in the sophisticated beachside setting of Santa Rosa Beach? Some may call it perfection. On September 12-14, 2008 it is called the Southern Breeze Wine & Culinary Festival.

A Gulf Coast Gourmet Affair

A fusion of sophistication and charm, the event brings together travelers from around the U.S as well as locals to celebrate food, wine and coastal culture.

A fusion of sophistication and charm, the event brings together travelers from around the U.S as well as locals to celebrate food, wine and coastal culture. Southern Breeze has partnered with leading-appliance manufacturer DCS by Fisher & Paykel to create a relaxed and fun ambiance at Santa Rosa’s Gulf Place Amphitheater.

The weekend long celebration kicks off on Friday night with superb regional Gulf Coast chefs preparing a five-course gourmet meal they have specially paired with five phenomenal wines from a renowned winemaker. On Saturday, the prestigious chefs move on to the head-to-head challenge in the Gulf Coast Chef Challenge to compete for the title of Northwest Florida’s top chef. Following the challenge is the Grand Wine tasting from 2-6 p.m. The wine will continue to flow as attendees are invited to sample over 200 hard-to-fine noted worldwide wines, as well as participate in the cooking and wine seminars available. The weekend closes with the Sunday Walkabout Brunch where guests will breathe in the seaside air while sampling local flavors from restaurants that have specially paired champagnes and sparkling wines to complement their individual flavor.

This exciting and unique three-day event is brought to you by Southern Breeze magazine, which hosts unique festivals throughout the year along the Gulf Coast. To participate in one, or all, of the unique affairs the Southern Breeze Wine & Culinary Festival has to offer, please visit www.southernbreeze.com. End of Article
