Panama City Beach, FL - I have to admit that I’m a shopper at heart. My friends kid me about my closet full of Jimmy Choos, and my beloved funky jewelry collection. So, naturally, I’m looking forward to the next phase of openings at Pier Park this spring. This past summer, we really started to get a feel for what the Simon Group has planned for this "signature project" – the first shops opened, the movie house opened (awesome, spectacular digital screens like I’ve never seen!)...and they hosted successful outdoor concerts.

I have to admit that I’m a shopper at heart. My friends kid me about my closet full of Jimmy Choos, and my beloved funky jewelry collection.
In the spring of this year, Pier Park will be opening two of is anchor stores: Dillard’s and JC Penny. Along with these two department stores are Border’s Books & Music, The Fresh Market, Old Navy, Ron Jon Surf Shop, Jimmy Buffet’s Margaritaville and...well, just think what you can do with 1.1 million square feet of open-air lifestyle space and, then...in the Fall, they have plans to add another 50,000 square feet of retail!
The retailers are what will attract consumers to this complex, but the prime location...right on the beach – in the middle of everything - will seal the deal. The layout is accessible and its promenade style with breezes blowing in from the Gulf transforms shopping into a physical experience...a cool, crisp and clean shopping journey.
OK...maybe I’m going overboard with the adjectives, but it really is cool, and I can’t wait to go shopping!!!!
Grand Opening for The Boardwalk at Pier Park is scheduled for February 15, 2008 and will include Margaritaville, Ron Jon Surf Shop, Dillard's, Old Navy and many others.
