Panama City Beach, FL -
Absolute self-assurance. That's the attribute evoked by the most visible characteristic of the Tennessee Walking Horse. This majestic animal and its high-stepping running walk are the central features of the Gulf Coast Horse Show and Music Festival in Panama City Beach's Frank Brown Park.

Gulf Coast Horse Show and Music Festival
April 21-24, 2010
Where: Frank Brown Park

Standing up to 15 1/2 hands high, and costing anywhere from $20,000 to $2 million, these regal animals are impressive. Watching as they're put through their paces is an amazing experience. Their distinctive run-walk enthralls all who see it, whether they're knowledgeable about the breed or not.

Walking Horses began as a distinct breed around the end of the nineteenth century. A cross of three strains- Thoroughbred, Saddlebred and Morgan- these exceptionally well-defined horses radiate individuality and strength. Around these qualities a class of riders and breeders dedicated to celebrating the heritage of these fine animals has arisen.

As the title implies, this is more than an equestrian event... it's a weekend's entertainment in itself. Music, artwork, clowns, food - the perfect excuse to enjoy the Gulf Coast's beautiful spring weather.

If you enjoy good music, great food, and wandering through display's of artwork, handicrafts, and tack, then the Festival portion of the weekend will be your favorite.

Throughout the weekend you'll be able to get your fill of a wide array of food dishes - traditional festival favorites to Gulf Coast seafood specialties. And there's going to be plenty for the kids, from food to fun.

The Gulf Coast Horse Show and Music Festival... an annual entertainment that just keeps getting bigger and better! For more information visit gulfcoasthorseshow.com. End of Article
