I mean, let's face it, is there any other time when adults think it's perfectly OK to dress-up like complete idiots and go out in public? Well, when it comes to dressing up and acting the fool in our neck of the woods… Schooners is where we go!
Schooners has a costume contest with big cash prizes that brings out the truly weird!
The Last Local Beach Club has transformed this mythical holiday into one of the biggest, most extravagant, and weirdest affairs in Northwest Florida! Every year, it just gets bigger and bigger, and stranger and stranger… and, well… you get the idea. Now, most of the costumes aren't actually scary……..OK.. Maybe some of them. But, the only thing truly horrifying about All Hallows Eve is the dreaded prospect of missing it! Of course, Schooners has a costume contest with big cash prizes that brings out the truly weird! First prize this year is $300! That'll bring the ghouls out... and with Local favorites Lou's Blues Review on the bandstand, you can be sure the dance floor will be full!
Schooners Costume Contest will be held Saturday night, October 27, but the decorations and the Halloween craziness runs all week long… from Wednesday, October 24, through Halloween night, October 31.
The judges are going to do their thing around 11 p.m., finishing up in time for the witching hour of midnight...
