Halloween in Paradise!

Only in Panama City Beach can you expect to find so many SPOOKktacular activities leading up to the most cavity-inducing holiday of all time... HALLOWEEN!

Here's something a little bit unusual - trick or treat with your family at the ZOO, they have a costume contest and I hear that some of the carnivorous animals will be judging – Good Luck with that one! The infamous Jaycees Haunted House promises to be even scarier than ever. Year after year they manage to thrill the youngsters and make the adults scream out in terror for their mommies!

How about something a little less scary – The Scarecrow festival promises to be absent of bloody limbs and moaning zombies. In fact these scarecrows are all hand-made and are very friendly to all... (well, except crows!). Coffee, desserts and Kid Friendly Ghost Stories, are being served up at the St. Andrews Coffee House. Pier Park is hosting a day filled with Halloween fun with activities for the children include a hay bale maze, pumpkin carving, spooky stories, arts & crafts and a pet costume contest! There's even a Haunted Trail and Pumpkin Patch at the Junior Museum that promises to entertain the kids for hours! For the ‘big kids' that like to play "dress-up" then the Spinnaker Toys For Kids Halloween Bash and Club La Vela's Vampire themed party promise to deliver the hottest parties and some of the most creative, sexy and scary costumes on the Beach along with awesome cash prizes. Don't worry if you forgot to bring your costume, because Condom Knowledge, CK's Secrets and plenty of the Big Super Chains will have lots of last minute bargains you could shop for. Strapped for cash? It's amazing what you can create with a little imagination, a sheet and some accessories! Go on – enjoy yourself, it's not every day you can dress up as a vampire and tell people "you want their blood!"

Friday, Halloween Eve there will be Trick or Treating of a very spooky special kind at Schooners. Kids and grownups alike are invited to bring their most creative carved pumpkins from home between 6pm and 8pm and enter the Great Jack O Lantern Carving Contest! Prizes and awards for best Halloween theme, best Beach theme, and $300 first prize $200 second prize $100 third prize to best overall. Judging starts at 8:00pm and all the carved Jack O Lanterns will then be placed on display for the rest of the Halloween weekend for all to see! Kids eat free in costume with purchase of adult dinner.

And, of course, there’s the always frightening Annual Schooners Halloween Bash on Saturday, Halloween Night! Saturday Costume contest at 9:30 $300 first place, $200 second, and $100 third.
