If you're in the mood for something extreme, don't miss the most extreme event of all...the Iron Man Triathlon on Panama City Beach. Hundreds of the world's fittest people will be on the Beach to compete in this grueling endurance test. It starts with a nice 2.4 mile swim (which competitors have 2 hours and 20 minutes to complete), is followed by an incredible 112 mile- 8 hour bike route, and finishes with a full 26.2 mile marathon...7 full hours are allotted for this challenging run!
Schooners, the last local beach club, has become something of a Halloween tradition. Everybody turns up to see the scary decorations that get KRRRAZIER every year…bats, monsters, ghosts, witches, lights, fog, coffins, tombstones… and that’s just on the OUTSIDE… once you get inside…it’s just….. well…. bwahahahahaaaa! Scary!
Spinnaker Beach Club will host the annual Toys for Kids Foundation Halloween Bash “Spellbound” on Saturday, October 31.
The annual event benefits the Toys for Kids Foundation’s goal of helping children in Bay County that may not be able to have a pleasant holiday season and is one of several events held throughout the year that benefits the organization.
For more information, contact the Spinnaker Beach Club or the Toys for Kids Foundation at 814-7800.
On Friday, October 23rd and Saturday, October 24th, the Junior Museum will host its annual Haunted Trail and Pumpkin Patch. The event will be open to the public from 4pm until 10pm both nights. The Haunted Trail will be open for victims, uh, we mean "visitors" at dark.
This fun, family-oriented event gives every family member, regardless of age, a great way to celebrate the season, from the Pumpkin Patch and the Peek-A-Boo Trail for the youngest ones, to the Creepy Cabins and the Haunted Trail for the older ones.
It's a small world they say, but the diversity of peoples and cultures is immense! And during the Festival of Nations, Downtown Panama City will become a snapshot of that diversity.
Representatives of dozens of countries will be on hand to display information and goods from their native lands. Scottish bagpipers in kilts march through the streets in between German Oompa bands belting out polka tunes!
One of the best parts of the festival is sampling the exotic and often delicious foods from far-away countries. Snack on Greek pastries, spicy Thai treats, or German sausages.

Enjoy your trip as well!
