Pensacola, FL -
The Pensacola Civic Band performs its popular Holiday Concert Monday and Tuesday, December 15 and 16, 2008 in the Ashmore Auditorium on the campus of Pensacola Junior College.

The Civic Band delights audiences with regular features such as “Sleigh Ride” and fun sing-along holiday medleys. Conductor Don Snowden compiles both standard holiday tunes, new arrangements of contemporary pieces, Hanukkah and Christmas songs and enough variety to keep the concert lively. The Civic Band brings back Mannheim Steamroller’s haunting “Stille Nacht,” and this year presents some new music, from an Appalachian folk carol to a rollicking holiday version of “The Barber of Seville.”
The Pensacola Civic Band began back in 1971 to provide an opportunity for adults to continue to play their instruments after high school and college. After more than three decades, it has evolved into a true community band with members in professions ranging from middle school band directors to therapists, doctors, teachers, lawyers, and even professional musicians who just want an additional opportunity to play.
Tickets for concerts are available at the Saenger Theatre & Ashmore Fine Arts Auditorium at PJ. You may also reserve your tickets by phone at 850.484.1847.
