Pensacola Beach, FL -
Fishin' Chix presents the 3rd and final tournament of the 2009 Pink Rubber Boots Ladies Fishing Rodeo Series with a scary twist. Lady anglers, with or without experience, can put on their pink rubber boots and participate in a bull redfish catch, photo and release fishing tournament with over $15,000 in prizes to be awarded. The two categories for the tournament are the largest bull redfish and most bull redfish caught and released.

Catch and release fishing is a practice intended as an act of conservation to help maintain a natural eco-system. After a fish is caught, it is unhooked and returned to the water before exhaustion or serious injury.
"Our Halloween Rockin' Redfish Picture Tournament will be a catch, photo and release event," said Fishin' Chix founder and CEO, Claudia Espenscheid. "The photos, showing the fish measurements, will enable us to determine the tournament winners. Ladies need to bring digital cameras, or a cell phone capable of taking high resolution photos. We are asking that the photos be approximately 750 KB to 1 MB in size."
After fishing from 3 – 7 p.m., a post-tournament party Halloween bash (Halloween costumes optional) will happen at Hemingway's Island Grill in Pensacola Beach. Fishin' Chix will be announcing the Grand Champion of the tournament who will win a fishing trip for black marlin at the Cebaco Bay Sportfishing Club, in Panama. The public is invited to the post-tournament party.
The entry fee is $125 on your own boat, and $250 per angler if you need a Captain and a boat assignment. Annual Fishin' Chix membership is $50 and required to participate in the Rockin' Redfish Picture Tournament. A portion of the proceeds benefit Covenant Hospice and the Guy Harvey Ocean Foundation.
