Jack Bishop purchased an existing restaurant at the current Bishop's Buffet location in the late 70's and operated it as it was until the early 80's when the all you can eat buffet style was introduced. Then in the early 90's Jack determined that the #1 Crab Legs were the key difference that made families return again and again. In the late 90's a new owner took over the reins at Bishop's and in Spring of 2006 Jack had an opportunity to reclaim his namesake buffet and return it to the quality and service level that guests came to expect from the Bishop's.
